These photographs were taken by John in January 2019
These images honor “Rosie the Riveter”, women in the defense industry during WWII that were essential to the American war effort. The Rosies depicted in these photos were taken at Michigan’s Yankee Air Museum and at the Owosso, Michigan Rail Yard in January 2019. They are called the Willow Run Tribute Rosie Volunteers. They honor the original Rosies who made up close to 40% of the workforce at the Willow Run B-24 Bomber Plant near Ann Arbor, Michigan. In these images they are working on an actual B-17 bomber currently under restoration at the museum.
